This device comprises a thin forming wall 2 supported by four vertical posts 3, 4. The bottom ends of the two posts 3 hold the edge of the wall 2 in place. The bottom ends of the posts 4 support the top edge of the wall 2 and are mounted, in such a way as to allow them axially to slide, on one arm 10 each, the arms also being mounted in such a way as to allow axial sliding on a bar 6 connecting the posts 3. The assembly is supported by two bridges 7 which run crosswise above the conveyor belt. <IMAGE>
