Apparatus intended to separate off all the substances present in the form of aerosol or of droplets in a gas especially for their analysis, characterised in that it comprises means for passing the gas through a first refrigeration enclosure 5, 5a, 5b which is at a temperature such that condensation of the condensible substances in the form of liquid droplets is produced in this enclosure, this condensation causing an entrainment of the other substances present in the form of aerosol in the liquid droplets, then through a second refrigeration enclosure 6, 6a, 6b which is at a temperature such that a conversion of the unseparated liquid droplets into solid particles is produced in the said enclosure, and means for collecting and combining the liquid droplets and the solid particles separated off in the two enclosures. <IMAGE>
