PURPOSE:To restart easily copying and to form an image with high quality successively from the 1st sheet after restart by stopping the rotation of a rotary body after rotating the rotary body by prescribed cycles at the interruption of a power supply before the formation of an image and the completion of transfer. CONSTITUTION:A drum 47 is rotated by 1.12 revolution after the end of copy cycles by the number of times set by a numeral key 31, and during the period of said additional revolution, the surface of the drum 47 is electrostatically cleaned by driving an AC charger 69, a preexposing lamp FL1, a blank exposing lamp and a whole surface exposing lamp FL2. Dielectrification is executed twice during the revolution of the post rotating LSTR by 1.12 cycles to remove uneven dielectrification. After transfer, the drum 47 continues to rotate and the surface of the drum 47 is cleaned by a cleaning device constituted of a cleaning roller 48 and an elastic blade 49. Consequently, copying can be easily restarted and images of high quality can be formed successively from the 1st sheet after restart. |
