PURPOSE:To permit the high precision work by sintering the carbon sintered- body which is selected after pulverization and has a high density, with binder, thus reducing the consumption at corner part and convex part, etc. CONSTITUTION:After the primary sintering of material, the sintered body put into the secondary sintering at 2,000 deg.C is pulverized and selected according to specific gravity, and the high-density particles having a particle diameter of 10-100muphi or so are selected. The particles separated according to particle diameter are again mixed with tar, pitch, or synthetic resin and sintered. In said specific-gravity selection, the high-density particles having a bore rate of 1% or less are selected, and thermal conductivity, etc. are freely controlled by the mixing rate of binder in sintering. Therefore, the electrode material having a desired arbitrary specific resistance can be obtained, and the electrode consumption rate in spark erosion machining can be reduced. |
