PURPOSE:To prevent a core-dislocation or a phase shift between a shank part and an electrode part, by molding the electrode part and the shank part in an integrated one body, in forming an electrode shank which is set in a discharge processing device and processes a work. CONSTITUTION:An electrode shank 10 is formed of an electrode material for discharge processing, as the electrode part 10a and the shank part 10b to be an integrated one body. This conductive electrode material for discharge processing is formed as to be a cylinder, the shank part 10b is molded as the same size and shape as the commonly used electrode fixing shank 2, and a pin 10c is planted. In molding the electrode part 10a of this electrode shank 10, as to be an electrode which is used for discharge processing, at first, the shank part 10b is held by a holder tool not shown in the figure, with the pin 10c. Then, the electrode part 10a is molded in the desired shape shown as two- dot chain line in the figure, with such as a wire-cut discharge processing machine, as regarding the pin 10c as a standard of the angle phase. After that, the discharge processing is performed as holding this electrode shank in a shank holder. |
