The lock comprises a locking mechanism (9) cooperating with a keeper (G) which uses an electromechanical device controlling the mechanism for opening the lock. It also comprises a casing to house this latter mechanism and the electromechanical control device. The said casing is in several parts. One part is a metal body (1) on which the locking mechanism is mounted and in which a box (2) is mortised, thus defining a compartment opening on to the body (1) to hold the locking mechanism. The other part is a closed compartment, separated from the first part by a sealed partition and housing the electromechanical control device. The lock also includes a coupling member for transmitting a lock-opening movement from the electromechanical control device to the locking mechanism. This is achieved by means of a projection passing through an opening in the said partition and surrounded by a plane bearing surface of the coupling member (7) so that the edge of the opening is sealed.
