PURPOSE:To provide a compact paper feed device for reducing power consumption and noise by providing a surface wave motor pressed against a blank for supplying the blank for a copier or the like. CONSTITUTION:When voltage V0sinomegat and voltage V0sin(omegat-pi/2) are simultaneously applied to first and second power source 34, 36 respectively and the amplitude of a first electronic strain element 30 is 0, the amplitude of a first electronic strain element 30b is also 0. Since then the phase difference between power sources 34, 36 is pi/2 in a second electronic strain element 32a, said element 32a is in the crest of the amplitude. Also, since then the second electronic strain element 32b has the polarity opposite to that of the element 32a, it is in the valley of the amplitude. Next, when the element 30a is in the crest of the amplitude, the element 30b is in the valley of the amplitude and the elements 32a, 32b are in the amplitude of 0. Thus, when the travelling waves are generated on the surface of a vibrating plate 28, a blank 18 is vibrated to be transferred. Thus, a compact device with low power consumption and noise can be provided. |
