PURPOSE:To obtain stably a metallic thin foil and to control its shape, even in rolling by a low-speed rolling mill, by using a rolling mill oil having a viscosity within a specific range and using rolling rolls whose length of each rolling part (barrel length) is large enough to project its both side-ends, by a prescribed length each, from the side ends of a thin sheet stock respectively. CONSTITUTION:In rolling a thin metallic sheet-stock into a thin foil at a low speed of <=50m/min; the stock is positioned at the central part of rolling rolls, and rolls having each a practical barrel length, large enough to project both roll side-ends from both side-ends of a thin sheet stock, by 20-150mm each, are used. Further, a rolling mill oil of 6.0-15.0 centistokes (40 deg.C) is supplied to the rolls, to roll the thin sheet stock into a thin foil of about <=10mum thickness. |
