摘要 The radio paging receiver comprises a power source (15) and a receiver section (11) for receiving a carrier wave angle-modulated with a calling signal and demodulating it to provide a demodulated signal waveform-shaping circuit (12) for waveform-shaping the demodulated signal to provide a digital signal to control section (113) for detecting a call and thereby providing a detecting signal in response to the digital signal and to a predetermined code. The control section (113) generates a first and a second switching signal at a timing delayed by predetermined time from the first switching signal in response to the digital signal. A first switching circuit (16) is connected between the waveform-shaping circuit (12) means and the power source (15) and responsive to the first switching signal for selectively supplying power from the power source (15) to the waveform-shaping circuit (12). A second switching circuit (17) is connected between the receiver section (11) and the power source and responsive to the second switching signal for selectively supplying power from the power source to the receiver section (11). This personal radio paging receiver is provided with a battery saving circuit which demonstrates a high battery saving efficiency.
