PURPOSE:To reduce the exhaustion of an electrode, by soaking a graphite electrode or an electrode which is mainly composed of graphite, with fats and oils sufficiently, and performing discharge processing using hydrophilous liquid. CONSTITUTION:In performing electric discharge processing using a graphite electrode or a mixed electrode which is mainly composed of graphite, that is molded through mixing metallic or composite graphite with general carbon, and processing water or improved processing liquid which is mainly composed of water, that is made through mixing surface active agent or water soluble high molecular compound or others in water, after the electrode is treated as it is soaked with fats and oils sufficiently, discharge processing is performed by confronting this electrode with a work which should be processed. The density of hydrogen generated in the discharge area is controlled by this soak of fats and oils, and moreover, the movement of the discharge point is stimulated by this matter. As said fats and oils, kerosine, transformer oil, silicone oil, silicone grease and others are mainly used as chief elements. |
