PURPOSE:To effectively use paper without wasting by connecting the main paper transport path to a short-circuit path by a gate when a document is not set correctly, whereby a sheet in the main transport path is stored in a tray for both-sided copying and fed again. CONSTITUTION:When a detector 14 detects that a document is not correctly set, a solenoid 15 id excited to set a gate 13 at the first position to connect the main transport path 9 to a short-circuit path 12, whereby a sheet in the main transport path 9 is discharged through the short-circuit path 12 and stored in a tray 8 for both-sided copying. Subsequently, when a document is again fed to a document table 2 by a document feeder 4 and set same correctly, the solenoid 15 is de-energized, and a paper feed roller 8a is driven to transport the above sheet stored in the tray 8 for both-sided copying through a transport path 11 and the main transport path 9. A copy is made on the sheet according to a usual copying process and the copied sheet is discharged to a discharge tray 10. |
