PURPOSE:To elevate the accuracy in estimation by estimating a flatness based on the deviation of the flatness detected value at a prescribed position in plate width direction and a predetermined flatness reference value. CONSTITUTION:A plate flatness detector 2 is provided at the outlet side of a rolling mill 1 and a flatness detection signal is transmitted to a plate flatness estimating device 4. An estimating device 4 is connected to a main controller 7 through dead zone elements 5, 6, also the controller 7 is connected to a cross controller 8. The flatness detection signal detected by the detector 2 is transmitted to the estimating device and a lug elongation quantity E and medium elongation quantity C are calculated and also compared with the respective target values E*, C*. The control deviations DELTAE, DELTAC of the lug elongation E and medium elongation C are then found and by estimating quantitatively the lug elongation quantity and medium elongation quantity of a plate, the estimation accuracy in flatness is elevated. |
