摘要 PURPOSE:To improve precision of linearity of a tape lead surface, by a method wherein, a machining device for drum assembly for VTR, cam profile planing is made on the tape running surface and the lead surface of a work, a ceramic material is used for a bell cam, and a carbide-tipped material is used for a roller. CONSTITUTION:A drum machining device is worked such that cam profile- planing is made on a tape running surface 1 and a tape lead surface 2 as a bell cam 3a mounted to a rotary main shaft 12 and a work W, supported to the main shaft 12, are continuously rotated, and comprises a profile means which has a stationary roller 4a brought into slide pressure contact with the bell cam 3a under rotation. A hole, extended through a shaft 6 and the stationary roller 4a, is provided so as to prevent the stationary roller 4a from rotating around a pin 5, and a set pin 5a is inserted in the hole. Further, the bell cam 3a is formed by ceramic and the stationary roller 4a by a carbide-tapped material, and this enables provision of resistance to wear for the bell cam and the stationary roller.
