PURPOSE:To convert KUMAZASA (Sasa albo-marginata) from the state unsuitable for a feed to a suitable state, to enable the effective utilization of vegetable resources, and to obtain the titled novel feed suitable for horse, etc., by extracting KUMAZASA with water, concentrating the obtained KUMAZASA extract, and adding dried KUMAZASA powder and glucose to the concentrated extract. CONSTITUTION:Finely chopped KUMAZASA is dried, immersed in water, and heated to obtain KUMAZASA extract. The extract is concentrated, and is mixed with 0.5-3pts.(wt.) (based on 1pt. of the concentrated extract) of dried KUMAZASA powder and 3-10pts. of glucose. The mixture is granulated to obtain the objective feed. The concentration of the KUMAZASA extract is preferably carried out under reduced pressure. |
