PURPOSE:To improve compressibility and lubricatability, by connecting an interval between a crankshaft and a piston of a two-cycle engine with a piston rod, while setting an enclosed chamber lying between a piston lower part and a crankcase down to an air-fuel mixture compression chamber. CONSTITUTION:A crankpin 16 and a piston 2 of a crankshaft 14 are connected with each other via a piston rod 18 locked to the piston 2, a piston rod pin 19 of a crosshead 20 and a connecting rod 17. The piston rod 18 is sealed up by a rod seal22 at its lower pat and an interval with the piston 2 comes an air-fuel mixture compression chamber 1a. Therefore, the air-fuel mixture inhaled out of a suction port 5 is compressed in time of the piston 2 going down, and when a scavenging port 26 opens to the inside of a combustion chamber, the mixture is scavenged inside the combustion chamber via a scavenging passage 25, thus it performs a scavenging action against an exhaust port 8. |
