PURPOSE:To automatically control a machining speed, by detecting a change rate of model shape from a change of value in numerical control (NC) point train data successively fetched from a memory device and adding the machining speed information, corrected in accordance with an override speed in inverse proportion to the change rate of the model shape, to the point train data. CONSTITUTION:A device, copying shape data of a model 1 by a tracer head 2 to be sampled by a digitizing device 3 and numerically converted into the coordinates as numerical control (NC) point train data, stores it in a memory device 8. And the indexing device, giving the machining speed information by a machining speed information adder 9 and responding to an index request from an NC device 5, transmits the data to the device 5 through an index device 10. The device 5, controlling a machine 6 in accordance with the transmitted point train data, cuts a work 7 in an equal shape to the model 1. Here the machining speed information, obtained by multiplying preset machining speed information fed from a machining speed setter 12 by an override speed calculated in an override speed generator 11, is added to a machining speed indexed to the point train data. |
