DEVICE FOR CONTINUOUSLY TAKING UP PAPER

PURPOSE:To withdraw easily taken-up sheets of paper by providing a dual structure consisting of a take-up shaft, a drive shaft and a second shaft attached removably thereto and having a tapered end. CONSTITUTION:An end of a shaft 2 is flared by a tapered position 1a provided removably on a first shaft 1 fixed to a take-up device and restrained by a spring with respect to its movement so that the shaft 2 is fixed to the shaft 1 by fitting a pin 7 of the shaft 2 in a groove 1b in the tapered portion of the shaft 1 to provide four cylindrical take-up portions 3. Also, drive is transmitted by an one-way clutch 8 mounted on the center of a flange 4 and meshing with the shaft 1. And blanks are normally taken up by the shaft 2 and the shaft 2 is removed rom the shaft 1 so that a gap is produced between the taken-up blank and the shaft 2 thus the taken-up blank can be easily withdrawn from the shaft 2.
