<p>A gas spring comprising a pivotal joint unit connecting the gas spring and a constructional part 10 of a chair. The joint comprising a bolt member and a bolt receiving member having a substantially U-shaped recess receiving the bolt member 50. The U-shaped recess has a mouth open in a direction transverse to the axis of the gas spring, so that considerable force can be transmitted without risk of disengagement and the gas spring can be easily installed in or removed from the chair. <IMAGE></p> |
