PURPOSE:To prevent the damage of a track of a magnetic disk by giving the alarm when the magnetic head is located on the same track over the prescribed period, and simultaneously retreating the head a place except a recording area or stopping the rotation of the magnetic disk. CONSTITUTION:When a 18min timer indicates zero reading, a controller 60 such as a microprocessor decides that the magnetic head 26 keeps on reproducing the same track of the disk 16 more than 18min. Then the controller 60 gives the alarm and causes an LED8 to light up. Simultaneously the controller 60 resets the 18min timer, generates the command that a disk motor 12 is stopped, or the head 16 is returned to its home position through a pulse motor 30, and causes devices to execute the command. As a result, the occurrence of the damaged disk can be prevented. |
