<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the change in the quality of a product by decreasing gradually the target plate thickness upto a prescribed value together with outputting a torque upper limit signal when the current torque reaches the upper limit value. CONSTITUTION:A torque limit control device 10 closes a contact C with the detection of a limit adjuster 19 when the current torque tau of a rolling mill exceeds the preset upper limit value. With the closing of this contact C, a change signal K of a plate thickness locking-on value is outputted from an output circuit 20 to an integrator 21. The integrator 21 outputs the signal increasing at a fixed rate as time passes as the correction quantity of the target plate thickness. This plate thickness correction quantity performs the action so as to reduce the target plate thickness at that time, reducing the output S of an automatic plate thickness control device 4, opening the upper and lower roll gap of a rolling mill and reducing the current torque tau. The adjustor 19 opens the contact C, then, with detecting it and the output of the integrator 21 is kept constant and the quality change of a product is prevented.</p> |
