<p>PURPOSE:To provide quick response in jamming and prevent a winding preventing piece and a rotor from damage by providing a means for pivotably and movably supporting said winding preventing piece urged in the direction of bearing against the rotor by an urging member and a means for detecting the movement of said piece. CONSTITUTION:When a force F is applied to the lower surface of a winding preventing piece 2 by a recording material P in jamming, the pivots 13a, 13b of a support member 13 are moved along a guide groove 14a to move upward the support member 13 and said piece 2 respectively. Along with this movement, an end 13d of said member 13 pushes up and pivots counterclockwise an end 12a of a movement detecting lever 12. When the support member 13 moves over a position, the other end 12b is kept away from a sensor 16 to send the signal of jamming to control means 17. Further, when the force F is increased to keep pushing up said piece 2, said piece 2 and support member 13 are moved from the position shown by the solid line and to the position shown by the two-dot chain line and an end 2b is separated from the surface of a fixing roller 1 so that said piece 2 does not damage the fixing roller 1.</p> |
