PURPOSE:To obtain thermal recording material having high color forming density and sensitivity and the best suitability to high-speed recording by using specific diether compound as an assistant component in a thermal recording material using leuco dye. CONSTITUTION:Diether compound expressed by the formula (R represents the alkyline group having carbon numbers 1-10 and X and Y the lower alkyl group, alkoxyl group, acyl group, acyloxy group or halogen atom) is added to a component of thermal recording material composed mainly of the well known triphenyl methane or fruoran leuco dye and a developer such as phenol or chiophenol compound. The dose should be 5-40wt% for leuco dye, 20-60wt% for developer and 20-60wt% for diether compound. Other materials such as bonding agent, filler, surfactant and thermomelting substance may jointly be used whenever so required. |
