A pack comprises a stock-forming meat product contained in a casing made of a material, such as perforate plastics film, which renders the casing capable of being subjected, without undue deterioration of the casing, to heating in water to form stock from the meat product. The perforations in the wall of the casing, permit communication to take place during stock-forming, between liquid surrounding the casing and the product contained in the casing, while the solid matter of the product substantially remains inside the casing. |
