Method for introducing at least two different materials, such as, for example, seed and fertiliser, into the ground, these being deposited in the ground separately and preferably at different heights in a sowing furrow drawn in the ground by a seed coulter, one material being deposited on the bottom of the sowing furrow and the other material being deposited in a layer of soil above the first material, and the soil subsequently being pressed down over the materials with a roller. In order substantially to improve the separate depositing of two different materials, for example seed and fertiliser, both for zero tillage and for conventional discharge on to ground prepared for sowing by ground-working appliances, a groove is pressed into the sowing furrow (32), in which the materials (33, 34) are deposited, so that the soil is pressed down deeper in the middle of the sowing furrow (32) than in the outer region of the sowing furrow (32), with the result that the length of the pressed-down width of the groove in the sowing furrow (32) is greater than the projected width of the groove (Figure 1). <IMAGE> |
