An electromagnetic, clocked injection valve for internal combustion engines is described which, as a solenoid plunger system, is provided with two sleeve-shaped pole shoes which are coaxially arranged in the coil and are held at a distance from one another by a non-magnetisable intermediate ring. The armature which is connected to the valve closure body acts counter to a spring and is adjusted in the sleeve-shaped pole shoes in such a way that, in the non-excited state it only partially covers the intermediate ring in the lifting direction.
