PURPOSE:To eliminate the scattering of a developer, etc. by supplying a specified amt. of the developer from a developer supply vessel to a developing device when a switch is thrown in the stage of installing an image forming device. CONSTITUTION:The toner in a toner cartridge is replenished into a hopper body 4 to store the toner in the hopper. A sensor operates when the toner in the developing device 3 decreases to a certain specified amt. or below. A motor 15 is then run according to the detecting operation thereof, by which an agitating gear 17 is rotated. An agitating bar 20 rotates in the hopper 4. On the other hand, the gear 17 is constituted integrally with a timing pulley 21 and a screw 24 is rotated by the rotation of a screw pulley 22, by which the toner in the hopper 4 is fed toward an arrow X1 so as to fall toward a B direction through a hopper discharge port 26 and is fed to the developing device. The toner is thus conveyed toward X2 by the screw 28 to the center of the developing device. |
