PURPOSE:To increase the solubility or dispersibility of additives, to improve a hue and to prevent fading and stain by forming a hydrophilic org. colloidal layer contg. a photographic reagent dispersed in the presence of specified chlorinated paraffin on a support. CONSTITUTION:At least one hydrophilic org. colloidal layer contg. a photographic reagent dispersed in the presence of chlorinated paraffin having >=175 deg.C b.p. under ordinary pressure is formed on a support. The photographic reagent is slightly soluble in water. The chlorinated paraffin gives strong intermolecular force to photographic additives and solvates well the additives, so it shows superior dispersing power. Since the paraffin has moderate polarity, it can well control the hue of color developed by a coupler by making use of difference in polarity. The paraffin dissolves hardly components which damage a color image during storage such as water and a developing agent, so it can protect a dye image from fading and stain. |
