A process for producing mouldings from glass fibre-reinforced polyester resin (GRP) as outer skin and at the same time as casing for a core of reaction injection moulded polyurethane (PUR) is distinguished, as shown in Fig. 1 with the example of a ventilation flap (1) for the interior (14) of refrigerated vehicles, in that first of all the respective (PUR) core (1a') is produced as a so-called preform with, if appropriate, the necessary insert parts and this preform (1a') subsequently has the (GRP) outer skin (1a) compression moulded in the wet state. A sandwich part produced in this manner, compared with the conventional method, is not only entirely without voids and thus more resistant to extreme temperatures, but especially can also be produced with one operation fewer than hitherto. <IMAGE>
