The bristle-supporting part of the tooth-brush has opposite faces from which the bristles extend. The handle is curved along its length to provide improved access to the gingival areas of the teeth, to penetrate up to the sulcular areas. The bristles are grouped in trfts which are arranged in rows along the bristle support part. Some of the tufts are coated with respect to each of the surfaces toward the inside of the curve. A symmetrical twist in the contour of the handle can accomodate the user's thumb and fingers at a desired orientation.
