PURPOSE:To eliminate useless controls by configurating a suspension device with a ground clearance adjustment mechanism in such a manner that the adjustment of ground control is not permitted when the spring constant is hard or is to be hardened while the spring constant is adjustable. CONSTITUTION:Signals from a ground clearance sensor 24, a car speed sensor 26, a steering handle angular acceleration sensor 28, an acceleration sensor 30, and an accel opening sensor 32 are inputted into CPU34 permitting a motor 36 and a compressor 38 to be operated. And the ground clearance can be increased by applying air to both a main air reservoir 20a and auxiliary air reservoir 20b with a selector valve operated, and can be decreased with a selector valve 44 opened. Also the spring constant can be softened by connecting both the reservoirs 20a and 20b with an actuator 46 operated, and can be hardened with both the reservoirs disconnected. In this case, the spring constant control actuator 46 is operated by CPU34 when the spring constant is hard, and a ground clearance adjust mechanism 36 and 40 is operated by CPU when the spring constant is soft and no hardening is required. This configuration eliminates useless controls. |
