PURPOSE:To prevent the falling or scattering of a magnetic developer by an elastic roller which rubs the surface of an image carrying body in press contact therewith and is constituted by having a magnet roller on the inside layer and coating an elastic material to the outside layer thereof. CONSTITUTION:The magnetic developer remaining on the surface of the image carrying body 1 or the paper powder, etc. sticking to the surface of the body 1 are removed by the magnet roller 8a which rubs the body 1 in press contact therewith. The remaining material slipping from the roller 8a is further scraped onto the roller 8a by an elastic blade 8d. The remaining material sticking onto the roller 8a or scraped therefrom is carried into a cleaner vessel 8c according to the revolution of the roller 8a and is scraped by a scraper 8b. The roller 8a is formed by coating a rubber layer 8g around a magnetic roller 8f consisting of plural pieces of magnetic poles. 8h Is a mandrel. The waste developer is thus captured by magnetic force without spoiling the rubbing effect and the falling or scattering of the magnetic developer is prevented. |
