PURPOSE:To reduce rotational deflection of a power transmission means, by setting the distance between a bearing on one end side of a balancer shaft onto which the power transmission means is attached, and a balancer less than that between a bearing on the other end side of the balance shaft and the balancer. CONSTITUTION:A balancer device is composed of a balancer shaft 3 onto which two balance weights 1, 3 are eccentrically attached in symmetry with each other with respect to the center axis of the shaft 3, bearings 4, 5 supporting both ends of the balancer shaft 3, respectively, and a gear 6 attached to one end of the balancer shaft 3, for transmitting power from a crank shaft. In this arrangement, the distance Xa between the front side balance weight 1 and the bearing 4 is set to be less than the distance Xb between the rear side balance weight 2 and the bearing 4. With this arrangement a deflection angle (ia) on the front side of the balancer shaft 3 may be made less, and therefore, the rotational deflection of the gear 6 may be reduced. |
