Traction vehicle with drive axle trailer

In a drive axle trailer (2) which is coupled to the rear of a traction vehicle (1), the wheels (14) are mounted on a rigid drive axle (4). The latter is provided with a differential mechanism (13) which has a drive connection to the power take-off shaft (5) of the traction vehicle (1). Between the power take-off shaft (5) and the differential mechanism (9) there is a hydraulic travelling mechanism formed from a variable displacement pump (8) and motor (10). This travelling mechanism and the speed of the drive axle trailer (2), respectively, can be controlled as a function of the variable angle alpha which is formed by the intersecting longitudinal axes (17, 18) of traction vehicle (11) and drive axle trailer (2) as a control parameter. <IMAGE>
