<p>PURPOSE:To prevent strip of graphite and improve sealing ability by pressing to form a compound made by kneading expansive graphite particles, organic binder, non-organic filler and rubber chemicals respectively by specific ratio with a wire metal as a core and integrating the compound and the metal wire. CONSTITUTION:In manufacturing, compound containing expansive graphite particles 19 and a metal wire 20 cylindrically wound are put in an annular forming space 18 provided on a female mold 17. And the compound 20 and the metal wire 20 are pressed to the bottom of the forming space 18 by a male mold 21 closedly fit to the forming space 18. Then, the compound is entered into meshes of the metal wire 20 uniformly to form an annular sealing member 7 integrally. In this time, expansive graphite particles 19 of 20-70wt%, organic binder of 3-15wt%, non-organic filler of 20-70wt% and rubber chemicals of 2wt% are distributed respectively and kneaded to constitute the compound.</p> |
