The invention relates to a method of producing and storing a continuous web of satchel bags from a plastic tube which is provided with transverse welded seams or transverse welded seam sections in the head and/or floor region of adjacent bags and with weakened sections, especially perforated sections, in the region of transition between adjacent bags. To facilitate the transport, storage and manipulation of the stored bags, the plastic tube is to be provided with weakened sections in the region of the gussets, which weakened sections reduce the mean specific material cross-section more significantly than between the inside edges of the gussets, and the web is to be folded in a zig-zag fashion to form a pile, the weakened sections defining folding lines on the sides of the pile, and each layer of the pile being formed by at least one bag. |
