PURPOSE:To let an examinee know that a temperature measuring part is deviated by switching a maximum display mode to a real display mode a specific time after when the temperature measuring part is deviated from a measurement position and the measured temperature falls abruptly during measurement. CONSTITUTION:When the temperature measuring part 1 is set at the measurement position and measuring operation is started, the temperature is measured at every sample timing point and stored in a measured temperature storage means 2, and the highest temperature obtained so far is stored in a maximum temperature storage means 3. The highest temperature is displayed on a display part 8. When a measurement convergence deciding means decides on measurement convergence, an annunciating means 5 is driven and the bodily temperature is read on the display device 8 in response to the annunciation. If the temperature measuring part 1 is deviated temporarily from the measurement position in the middle of the measuring operation, the measured temperature drops abruptly. This is detected by a temperature drop detecting circuit 6 and when a drop time decision means 7 decides that the drop time is longer than a specific time, the measured temperature at every sample timing point is displayed on the display part 8 instead of the highest temperature. |
