A dispenser comprises a housing which supports a capsule with its axis vertical. The top of the capsule is removed to leave the medicament in the base part. Air is admitted through the housing and flows horizontally across the top of the base part to entrain medicament. The air then passes to a mouthpiece. In one embodiment the base part of the capsule is carried by a piston which can rise during inhalation to alter its position with respect to the air flow. In another embodiment a carousel carries several capsules which can be advanced sequentially to a dispensing station.. The device dispenses powdered medicament by inhalation. |
