Medicinal use of propionic acid derivatives of the general formula I <IMAGE> in which R1 and R2 are identical or different and are hydrogen, halogen, trifluoromethyl, alkyl, hydroxyl, acyloxy, alkoxy radicals or together are the methylenedioxy group and X is a straight-chain, saturated or unsaturated alkylene group which has 2-4 C atoms and is optionally substituted in the beta or gamma position to the nitrogen by an alkyl group, and the physiologically acceptable salts, esters and amides thereof for the prophylaxis and/or treatment of cardiovascular disorders, especially ischaemic cardiac disorders such as heart failure, angina pectoris or myocardial infarct. |
