Combustible pills or briquettes of straw or a similar material are manufactured by mixing the material with dry fly ash and compacting it so as to generate a compression temperature of 100-200<o>C, whereby the fly ash is actuated as a binding agent. Straw briquettes of high are hereby produceable without any further additions or method steps. The fly ash, which is a very cheap material, may be used with a percentage as low as 4%, but the percentage may advantageously be considerably higher, if the fly ash is of a type having a high content of residual carbon. |
