PURPOSE:To elevate the working accuracy by forming a supplementary flange with a pad and lower die at first, then by performing the flange formation. CONSTITUTION:The clear pin 3 having the stroke of about 5-10mm. is provided on the press face of a work of a pad 1 and is energized downward with a spring. When a panel 12 is set and a upper die 7 is descended, the pin 3 presses the panel 12 and the projecting part 4 of the pad 1 forms a supplementary flange 14 in cooperation with the end edge of the lower die 2. The upper die 7 is further descended and the pad 1 presses the panel 12 and simultaneously a bend blade 6 is advanced as well and a flange 15 is formed. In this case the supplementary flange 14 is fitted to the end edge of the lower die 2 together with the press force of the pad 1, so the sliding of the panel 12 is eliminated. The accuracy in the flange bend work is elevated with this method. |
