In a process for post-insulating a bend of a heat-insulated pipeline consisting of an inner pipe, preferably of steel, which carries the medium, a jacket pipe, preferably of plastic, surrounding the inner pipe at a concentric distance, and a heat-insulation layer of foam, preferably polyurethane, arranged between the inner pipe and jacket pipe, the inner pipe connection is surrounded by a mould and the annular space between the inner pipe and the mould is filled with foam. So that the weld seam is accessible, the mould consists of two plastics mould parts, of a cylindrical pipe part and a curved or a bent pipe part which are pushed over the ends of the pipeline during the welding procedure. Then the plastics mould parts are brought into mutual contact and welded to one another at their end face. The other end of the plastics mouldings is welded to the outer jacket of the pipeline. |
