PURPOSE:The titled device capable of stirring glass in a storage tank, providing high-quality hollow fiber glass, wherein the glass storage tank is divided from a glass spinning tank below it by a filter, and an air pipe is set by a specific method. CONSTITUTION:The glass spinning tank 6 having a small diameter is set through the hopper-shaped slant wall 5 at the bottom of the glass storage tank 1', the filter 8 is supported by the slant wall 5 and fixed. On the other hand, the air pipe 10 is laid along the inner wall face of the storage tank 1' and the upper face of the filter 8, and the air pipe is set in such a way that its bottom part is passed through the filter 8, and opened to the nozzle hole 7 of the spinning tank 6. Further, the storage tank 1' is provided with the stirring rod 9 and the feed pipe 11 for molten glass. The molten glass G continuously fed from the pipe 11 to the storage tank 1' is stirred by the stirring rod 9 to eliminate pulsatory motion and bubbles, sent through the filter 8 to the spinning tank 6, spun from the nozzle hole 7 while introducing air from the air pipe 10 to the nozzle hole, to form the hollow glass fiber 4'. |
