PURPOSE:To enable continuous measurement and memorization of length-wise pit values on the road surface accurately and automatically during the running, by mounting a road level measuring device on a body to compute and memorize factors obtained. CONSTITUTION:This apparatus is made up of an accelerometer 1, a road surface level measuring device 3 comprising a body height gauge 2, an arithmetic circuit 5 and a memory 6. Then, a fluctuating acceleration signal detected with the accelerometer 1 is amplified with an amplification circuit 10, filtered with a filtering circuit 7 and then, sent to an input section of an arithmetic circuit 5 to calculate the displacement DELTAH at the position where the accelerometer 1 on the body 4 is fixed. On the other hand, the body height data detected with the body height gauge 2 is amplified with an amplification circuit 11 and then, the body height (a) fed to the arithmetic circuit 5 is calculated. So to speak, the difference 8 between the displacement DELTAH and the variation DELTAa of the body height (a) indicates pits on the road surface. This enables very correct pit values on the road surface to be measured, recorded and displayed automatically. |
