MANUFACTURE OF CAPSULE TONER

PURPOSE:To obtain the capsule toner having less a change of fixing against a pressure by suspending a molten mixture of a compd. contg. a hydrocarbon chain in a molecule and a magnetic powder pretreated so as to give a hydrophobic property in an aqueous medium to form a core particle and then by coating the obtd. core particle with a shell material. CONSTITUTION:The titled toner is prepared by melt-mixing the compd. contg. the hydrocarbon chain in the molecule and the pretreated magnetic powder and by suspending the obtd. molten mixture in the aqueous medium and pelletizing to form a core grain, and then by coating the obtd. core grain with the shell material. The above described compd. is preferably 12-50 C compd. and comprises preferably a wax such as a polyethylene wax, polyethylene oxide and a cyclic gum etc. The magnetic powder comprises fine grains of a various kind of ferrite and hematite, and is pretreated the above described powder with 0.01-5pts.wt. the titanium coupling agent per 100pts.wt. the powder so as to give the hydrophobic property.
