PURPOSE:To obtain a thermal recording material having excellent raw-state preservability and a high thermal color forming property, by microencapsulating at least one of a diazo compound and a coupling component and incorporating at least one organic sulfonamide compound into a recording layer. CONSTITUTION:At least one of a diazo compound and a coupling component is contained in microcapsules and at least one organic sulfonamide compound is incorporated in a recording layer, in a thermal recording material wherein a recording layer comprising at least a diazo compound and a coupling component is provided on a base. The microcapsules are such that a core of the microcapsules and a reactive substance present in the exterior are brought into reaction mainly through microcapsule walls by heating. Accordingly, color forming property at low temperature is enhanced, and fogging during raw-state preservation is suppressed. |
