PURPOSE:To provide a brazing filler metal which has a low brazing temp. and can increase the strength of the brazed joint by specifying a compsn. consisting of Ag, Ti, Zr, Hf and Cu. CONSTITUTION:This brazing filler metal consists of 47.6-85.7wt% Ag, 4.8-19% at least one kind among Ti, Zr and Hf, 0.4-20% at least one kind of In and Sn according to need and consists of the balance Cu. The brazing filler metal is capable of brazing ceramics and ceramics, ceramics and metal as well as metal and metal at the relatively low temp. and can increase the strength of the brazed joint. The energy loss during brazing is decreased and the softening of base metal, etc. is suppressed by the above-mentioned brazing filler metal. Thermal stress is relieved as a result of the decreased coefft. of thermal expansion and the increase in the mechanical strength of the brazed joint is made possible. |
