PURPOSE:To secure high resolving power in low power consumption, by heating a specific intermediate medium corresponding to an information signal and selectively transferring heat-meltable dots different in saturation density to the recording medium contacted with the intermediate medium. CONSTITUTION:A ink film 7 and an ink film 8 are respectively contacted with a recording medium and heated from the side of a substrate 10 on the basis of the information signal of a thermal recording head and heat-meltable inks 9 different in a density level are selectively transferred to the recording medium to record information. In this case, when the density level is 0, the dots in matrice are not printed at al by both of the ink films 7, 8 and, when the density level is 1, only the dot with the density level of 1 of the heat-meltable ink of the ink film 7 is printed. |
