PURPOSE:To obtain efficiently fresh water for operating an inert gas generating apparatus by spraying seawater and/or steam which are obtained by evaporating seawater heated indirectly with the combustion gas into a high-temp. combustion gas and thereby decreasing the temp. of the combustion gas. CONSTITUTION:The seawater passed through a cooling jacket 3 is indirectly heated by heat-exchanging it with the quantity of heat contained in the descending combustion gas. The heated seawater is introduced into a water producer 22 via the other end of a heating pipe 21 and injected to the inside of the water producer 22 which is decompressed by an extraction ejector 23 to generate steam and the steam removed with water droplets plus the particles of salt by a demister 24 is cooled by a condenser 25 provided to the upper part of the inside of the water producer 22 and stored in a fresh water tank 26 as fresh water. The fresh water is sprayed from an injection port 29 of a fresh water pipe 28 through which the fresh water is introduced into a combustion chamber 2 via a pump 27 and thereby the temp. of the high-temp. combustion gas is decreased. |
