NEW MATERIAL:An antimycotic, Neoenactin: it has following properties: elementary analyses in %: C 63,47, H 10.04, N 7.44, 0 19.05; melting point 60.5-64.5 deg.C; [alpha]D<12>=14.2 deg. (c=3% in methanol); soluble in lower alcohols, ethyl acetate, ether or chloroform, insoluble in water, n-hexane, petroleum ether; colored with ninhydrin, naphthoresorcinol phosphate, KMnO4; an amorphous white powder. USE:Antimycotic and a synergic agent for polyenic antimycotic, trichomycin. PREPARATION:For example, Streptoverticillium olivoreticuli subsp. neoenacticus (FERM 4376) is aerobically cultured in a liquid medium usually at about 28 deg.C and the objective substance is collected from the culture mixture and cell bodies. |
