PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of an end fin and to elevate a working efficiency remarkably by specifying the movement of a scarfing oxygen jet nozzle and the oxygen pressure for scarfing at the completing point of the scarfing of the stock to be scarfed. CONSTITUTION:The O2 jet nozzle 1 for scarfing is also approached nearly vertically at just above the point A as per an arrow mark alpha' when a scarfing head 6 is approached about vertically from the upper part just above the scarfing starting point A of the stock 7 to be scarfed. The head 6 is gradually moved horizontally upto a scarfing completion point B according to the scarfing start by the arc plasma jet from a plasma torch 4 and to the following scarfing O2 jet from the nozzle 1. The nozzle 1 is then moved horizontally as per the arrow mark beta' as well with jetting the scarfing O2 along the surface of the stock 7 between points A, B. Now at the arrival time at the point B of the head 6 only the arc plasma jet is stopped and the head 6 is withdrawn so that the nozzle 1 can be moved to the slant upper part at the front of the scarfing direction as per the arrow mark gamma' further beyond the point B. The scarfing O2 pressure of the nozzle 1 is gradually reduced then simultaneously with the passing of the point B by the nozzle 1 and is made in zero finally. |
